Little Junie, weighing in at just 6 pounds, was sadly hit by a car and needed emergency surgery to repair her broken leg. Genesis volunteers swooped in to save this little lady when her owners could not continue her care. Our vet team was able to place a pin to stabilize her fracture. As she recovers from her broken leg, she wears a cone to prevent her from licking/chewing at the incision, but she does not bother the cone. Junie is received extra snuggles in her foster home while she is healing. She will soon be ready for a home of her own! Her foster mom reports that she is a lap dog. She sleeps soundly in her bed during the night with no messes. Even at her young age, she has already mastered basic commands like sit, stay and come. Junie enjoys the company of other dogs as well as her people. Junie will make a wonderful companion!
