Sweet Josie has known all her life behind bars, raising litter after litter, living in deplorable conditions with several other dogs sharing her kennel. Thankfully, she was finally released 6 long years later because of the medical ailments she had developed and the owner was unwilling to treat. We are so blessed to be able to help this sweet girl get the medical care she needs and start on the road to rehabilitation and eventual adoption into a loving family to adore her for years to come, never to know kennel or breeding life again.

Josie is not currently available for adoption, as she is undergoing medical care and rehabilitation to learn how to become a pet. Walking on a leash, her feet touching the grass, going up stairs, riding in a car, house training, etc are just a few of the challenges Josie is learning to overcome as she adjusts to life as a house dog and beloved companion. We welcome sponsors for sweet Josie while she awaits adoption readiness.
